Karla's ECAP preschool class. Ms. Lara is her teacher with Ms. Leta and Ms. Dana as aids. Karla has loved Preschool this year. She loves to do homework. Her teacher said she is the Queen of Patterns. She picked it up immediately and is constantly looking for patterns. She often does complicated patterns as well as simple patterns. We did an activity (making paper chains) and karla made hers with a pattern, and we included Kylee, and Kylee messed up Karla's pattern. So Karla fixed it after Kylee lost interested and moved on. It ended up going blue, green, yellow, purple, purple, green, blue, yellow, yellow, green, yellow purple, and then repeat. And Karla did repeat so that you could see the pattern.Karla also shows her fathers inclination for numbers. She can count to 14--14 through 17 messes her up. She can add and subtract numbers under 10. She does word problems. If given the choice she will work on number homework over letter homework any day. But she doesn't struggle with letters either. She can write her name. She loves to copy. And she has learned to write Karla heart mom--and writes it on everything!! She is the only one in her class to pretend to write. With Karla's love of books, I don't think it will take her long to pick up on reading. She already reads two words: a and I. Her best friends are Pacie, Joseph, Darian, and Autumn. (At this point she really wants to marry Joseph). She always has to tell me what is in the share can. The share can gets passed around. On your turn, you put something in it. And then you give the class clues to see if they can guess what it is. When we sing songs, which we like to do a lot, Karla always wants to sing a song from preschool.
ECAP has been a great fit for our family. And as reluctant as I was, I am glad we put her in. She has blossomed (and into a social butterfly). She is always asking to go play at peoples houses now.
Karla, Mommy and Daddy love you so much!! And I am so proud of you. I know you can do anything! You are beautiful, but more than that, you have a good heart with so much love!! I can't wait to see what you do with it. Great things are ahead for you, and I'm so glad you came to our family.
