Kolten started doing this--twitching at 8 days old. Here is a video of it. It looks like a seizure--so we've done some testing.
His EKG came back great!!
His brain ultrasound came back great!! They were amazed at how well they could see everything too!!
His blood work so far has come back great. We're doing some more advanced testing, just to be sure, but we are feeling pretty good about that.
We took him to the ER--so a doctor could watch as he watch as he was doing it. This was my first trip to the ER EVER. What we learned is that when he wakes up--he stops twitching.
We are hoping that he is simply an active dreamer. I noticed the other night--Todd will twitch too when he's good and asleep. But not as violant as Kolten does.
We are going to a nerologist in Seattle the first of August just to be sure we aren't over looking anything.
Other good news: he had another echogram when he saw the cardiologist on July 3rd. The cardiologist doesn't know why he had heart problems. He doesn't know why they went away. Although we do!! Thank you for all those who prayed and fasted for him. It means so much to us!! But Kolten's heart is 100% normal and doing great. We will follow up in a year to be sure--mostly because of twitching thing. Otherwise the cardiologist would have said "Get out of here and don't come back!!" He had a sence of humor. He also looked at our family schematics and said "You did this to this poor boy." I told him it wasn't on purpose. "Well you have a point." :)
We are grateful for his continued health. He is a hot baby. He sweats a lot. But he is a snuggle bug, and we love him. Your continued prayers are as always welcome and appreciated. Hopefully by the time school starts, I can say I have a very healthy and normal if not quirky little boy.
