Garth's Party Invite

The graduating class of 2010, including my baby brother Garth, are celebrating!! Garth is walking with the graduation June 4th, Toyota Center, at 7 pm. We are then having a party for Garth on Tuesday June 8th, Howard Amon Park Pavilion by the toys, Between 6:30 and 8:30. All are invited!! If you know Garth--come and join us!

Back to Idaho

Between Amber's wedding and Dot's graduation, we went back to Idaho to visit with cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and Grandma K. It was so fun to see you all. We miss you and wish we lived closer or could visit more often. Thanks for such a fun time. While we were out there, we got to celebrate TJ's birthday, see Wyatt get his chickens for his birthday, and just play a lot. Jakie and Karla were inseperable. And we all had a good time.

Caleb--isn't he a cute boy. It's hard to believe how grown up he's getting. Soon he'll be a big brother!

Mom, Janice, Emily and I worked around everyday life while visiting as much as possible!! Can you believe how beautiful Janice is even with curlers in her hair?

I told Karla and Kylee that we would have to go leave soon. What would you like to do before we leave? Karla thought for a minute and said "I want to jump on the trampoline again because we don't have one." But Jakie and Karla were inseperable. The three of them often ran off and played.

Wyatt got chickens for his birthday. Janice and Wyatt were excited (not everyone was) :). One rooster and several hens. They had fresh eggs the very next day.

This was at Aunt Emily's house. They loved climbing on the outside of Aunt Emily's porch. We also danced to some fun music, watched a movie, played some games, and just enjoyed the yard and outside too.

While in Idaho I got to visit some friends. Eric was one of my very best friends back at Rick's college. I was very pregnant when he married Amanda. I felt so bad I couldn't make the wedding. So I finally got to meet Amanda. I also got to meet Eliora. The girls liked their wii. I ended up leaving my camera with them and hense the pictures from Amber's wedding are all not as good as I would hope. I came to realize just how much I like my camera. But I'm glad I got to visit with the Jones.

So I did this a little out of order. After the wedding, Emily and I with our kids, went to Logan and got to hang out with Aunt Trudy. We then went on to Idaho for several days more with Grandma and cousins. We then came back to Utah to celebrate in Dot's graduation!! But I know Dot is anxious--so here is Dot's and Jonathan's graduation: I hope to post more pictures of Idaho soon.

Grandma and Kaylyn excited to see Dot and Jonathan walk. Kaylyn was really a very good girl, but she had had it by the end and wanted to get down and play!!

We spent a lot of time reading. And everyone wanted to be included. Dot has a collection of Fancy Nancy books that the girls just loved. We can't wait till Dot moves home and reads us more Fancy Nancy books!

They worked hard!! And now they are done. We are so proud of you both.

Here is Cyntha at graduation. Cyntha and I just enjoyed being together. We laughed and giggled and commented and just enjoyed being together. She so needs to move to Washington. I miss you baby doll!! And I hadn't realized how much I needed to see you--I'm so glad you came.

The Mitchells--all grown up and saving China...well saving one computer at a time and one kid at a time--or something like that.

Jonathan graduated with honors in computer science. Dot graduated with her degree in early childhood. She is licensed to teach preschool through 3rd grade.

Here they are at convilcation. Because they walked with Jonathan's class--graduation was a lot shorter. And all but three of the girls were relatives walking with someone in this school. But had they walked with Dot, most of them would have been girls...and it would have taken a lot longer.

Here is the night before in the Mariott Center. They had some good speakers speaking about Forgivness and Repentance--that's the part I remember at this point. Maybe if I'd had taken some notes....

Because Jonathan had such good grades--he gave the prayer. So he joined Dot as they walked across. We are so proud of him. Because he got to give the prayer, he got us front row seats!! Way to go Dot! You picked a good one!

My cousin Geoff also graduated. Way to go Geoff. They are also expecting their second child--another great accomplishment. Isn't this an adorable cake. We had a picknik with them--in the rain and wind and cold!! I felt bad that we didn't get to visit more. But it was so cold we ate and hurried home. Our poor kids just couldn't take any more. But we are so proud of them.

Geoff was the cousin I was the closest to while growing up. We are so proud of him--and he has such a cute wife. I just wish they didn't live so far away.

Dot is taking a cake decorating class. So she made two cakes which tasted better than they looked--and they looked great!! I was surprised. It was the first cake that tasted better as time went on. Way to go my talented sister.

Mom is very good at putting babies to sleep. But I think babies are very good at putting her to sleep to. Here is mom and Kaylyn.

Cyntha and I did our nails in anticipation to seeing our husbands again--also as a funny girly thing to do togehter.

The cousins had so much fun getting together to play!! They miss each other too. The girls were sad to leave their cousins in Idaho--and Karla kept calling Jaimie, Jakie. We miss all our cousins. But they had a blast.

Dot and Jonathan are moving to Washington at the end of the month. I am so stoked!! I can't wait for game nights, double dates, and using her as a babysitter on occassion. I have missed them, and I hope they will be as happy in Washington as we have been. We love them so. And Dot did do really good in picking a husband. Jonathan is sweet and kind and fun. He is good for Dot, but he is also easy to be related to. They are working on adopting a child. And we wish them luck in all of these endeavors. I'm sure they will go far!!

PS Dot--you may have all the videos and pictures when you get home. I hope this is a day you look back on fondly!

Shannon and Shawn have been Amber and my friends for a long time. It was fun to get to see them. It's been way to long!

The second leg of my trip was in Syracuse Utah. My little sister Dot was so gracious. She took my three girls for me while I spent two days with one of my best friends: Amber Young. Amber Young was my very first roommate at Ricks College. We know it was no coinsdence. She has been like a sister to me. She is 9 months older. We just were born to different families.

I had the great pleasure to spend a day with her and then be there as she was married and sealed to her sweetheart: Rob Morris. I like him. I have since she started dating him. They are now happily married.

Thursday before she was married I got to help Amber pack for her honeymoon, do a little last minute shopping, we did our nails (just $3 fake nails from Walmart, but it was fun), we also got to talk and reminiss. It was fun. I was glad we got to spend that time together.

Friday morning we woke up and went down and got her hair done. She was beautiful. I enjoyed her wedding more than most. I learned a lot from the things her sealer shared with us. Best of all Amber is no long a young woman. She is now Mrs. Morris!! I admit, having been kid free for a day and a half, no husband, sitting with college buddies--I felt young. I then got done with pictures and such--and called my kids. It all came back. I so enjoyed being there. It was good for my soul!! And fun as well. I love you Amber Morris. And I am so happy for you. We have agreed not to let time slip by so much before we get together again.
