2008 Canning Pictures

I am in the process of looking for some missing paperwork that they want for the home loan.  So I'm finally going through all these loose papers we just moved from West Richland over here to Kennewick.  And look what I found:  If you look at Oct 14, 2008--I posted all about canning with the cooks.  But here are the pictures.  We canned 144 Gallons of apple juice.  And as if that wasn't enough: we decided to turn around and can grape juice--263 quarts for a total of 641 bottles!!ober 14, 2008

 I have a sister-in-law, who I love dearly, but who won't can with us.  But look at these pictures: it was hard work, but we had a lot of fun.  I remember--still--Lorna at one point said "I was going to think..." Then she stopped and thought about what she had just said.  We couldn't help but giggle.  And believe it or not--we are still drinking apple juice and grape juice from this weekend.  Now for a while--it was hard to get to, so we didn't drink as much.  But we sure have enjoyed it.

The kids entertained themselves by making a car.  And although you don't see Grandma much out in the garage--she was helping.  She kept us all fed. And we were quite the group!!

The girls helped some--getting apples out of the back of the truck.  Can you believe how little they are in these pictures?  Man how they have grown!!

I remember at this time, we were trying to have Kaylyn.  I took a pregnancy test right before going out--and I was so sad.  It had come back negative.  It wasn't two more weeks before I found out--I was pregnant, it was just to early to find out that I was.  And now--I'm almost about to deliver out little boy.  Kaylyn has brought so much joy into our family!
