Everyday summer 2013

This is not a normal summer for us.  I have been doing a lot of fun stuff since Garth quit going to the ARC summer camp.  And since I was doing it for Garth, I would drag my kids around.  He is now working, making that less necessary and less possible.  But I have tried to do some fun things for him anyway.  With mom's new schedule, she doesn't need me to watch him.  So I am not doing much at all!!
When you combine that with the crazy weather--my pregnant body just isn't handle this heat.  To hot, to fast.  And now at 110.  I know it's nothing compared to Las Vegas, but my poor body just isn't doing it.  We end up staying home a lot more than normal.
I have been trying to teach my children to work.  To be able to get a chore and just get it done.  I'm afraid I have been unsuccessful thus far.  But I am working on it none the less.  So it seems we spend most of the day either avoiding work and playing in other areas of the house or we are cleaning.  I do want to teach my children to just dig in and get it done.   Any suggestions welcome!
But here are some fun pictures of everyday life.

Kolten has become a world class eater.  He is pretty good with a cup because he loves daddy's smoothies--which won't go through a bottle.  He even likes to get his own water from the water cooler.  He makes it about 1 in 3 times.  I think it's cool he can get his own drink, but I hate the wasted water.  Here he is polishing off an icecream cone.  He will eat the whole thing and mommy doesn't like sharing with him anymore.

Kolten has become a pro at walking!!  He may have only two teeth.  He sometimes immates our speech--like while Garth was telling knock, knock jokes, Kolt said Knock, knock.  But he hasn't said it since.  He will say Karla after Todd or I are halwering for her.  But on his own--it's just mom and dad.  But he is a pro at walking and eating!!
This is an outfit Todd's mom gave us from when her babies were little.  Every one of my children have worn it.  It has fond memories.  Karla wore it to the family reunion.  After roasting and eating marshmellows and then stalking around her aunts and uncles called her Killer.  Aunt Trudy remembered when Kolt then wore the same outfit to reunion this year.
Kolten looks so cute and grown up in is brand new church suite.  And Then Kolten's first time swinging on a big swing at our friend's house--Anna Stoker.

Here are my cute girls showing off for the camera one Sunday morning.

I just noticed that Kolten has a dimple.
