Mann Family Reunion Park Day

I know it is taking me a while to get all of the Mann Family Reunion blogged, but be patient and I'll get it all up. And then on to the Nef Family Reunion and Kylee's birthday!!

As part of the reunion we had a park day. We went iceblocking--which our husbands had never done before. We flew kites. We played sprinkler ---, and we played water balloon volleyball. We had so much fun, I am trying to get a similar group date. Unfortantly the sprinkler pad bit the dust. I won it at my highschool graduation party though--so it really did very good. It was hirlarious playing with my two sisters--where we were less than shy is shoving and giggling. I'm afraid that would have been a fun picture. But here is Karla, Jonathan, and Dot.

As for iceblocking. It was harder to balance all this extra weight. It was a little different than it was back when I was 16. I was glad it was not Carmichael Hill this time around. It was fun to watch as everyone tried to figure it out. Water balloon volleyball, on the other hand, was easier than we thought it would be. And we decided it was more fun than a waterballoon fight, but the kids disagree!! And flying kites was a blast too. It's been a long time since we have done that!

When we are all together, we try to get updated family pictuers. You never know when we will all be in the same city again. With Cyntha's cute family shirts it made for a beautiful picture. Now the grandbabies didn't cooperate, so we came back and got another picture of them. (My philosphy is to take the picture even with a screaming baby because you might not get another chance, but not everyone agreed with me.) But this one didn't turn out so bad.

Odds and Ends from Mann Family Reunion

One of our fondest memories from Tingey Family Reunion of years past was Grandma's Store. And the kids had a blast with it. They still ask, can we go to Grandma's house so we can get something from Grandma's Store?

Here are our pirates who were going looking for buried treasure from our pirate ancestor great, great, great, great Grandpa Mann. Cyntha spun a great tale, on the spot!! We had so much fun with it.

Here is our SuperBaby!! This is Kaylyn, with her superman shirt, it is such a fun picture. We want to cut Todd out for a fun picture, but I don't want to loose this one either. So here is the orginal.

Sean and Jonathon playing on their PS 3--I think. I don't know always know which techonology is which. We've always been behind with technology (although we were the first to have a cell phone). But my brother-in-laws do.

Here are the boys playing WII. They had boys night out and went to the batting cages and out for icecream. They then came home and played WII.
Us girls put the babies to bed and played Dragon Lords. It's a family favorite!! I need to find my own copy one of these days.

We had one activity I don't have any pictures. Us girls went to the temple and then to Olive Garden for Soup and Salads. The four of us ate 6 bowls of soup and 4 full serving bowls of salad. We each order one of the four soups on the menu and just passed them around. It was fun to try soups I wouldn't normally order.

In the mean time, the boys took the kids fishing and then to McDonald's for lunch. They didn't catch any fish--but they had blast all the same!!

We had so much fun!! We played and laughed and enjoyed good food and being together!! I love my family.

So with Garth graduating, we had a Mann Family reunion. One of the activities was going to the Surf and Slide in Moses Lake. It's a bit of a drive, but not bad. We had fun. I wasn't brave enough to take the camera into the water to get shots of the kids on the kiddy waterslides. But it was a little chilly, so after a while, they went and played in the sand box.

Kylee gave me this flower on the way over. Karla and Kylee have brought me a lot of flowers this summer. I feel loved.

Now I'm now here to debate whether we should have preschool graduations or not. Karla's preschool had one, so I supported Karla and went. And I'll admit, I cried. she made a lot of good friends there. And she learned a lot of good things in the ECAP program. She has grown into an individual apart from her sister. And when they sang "puff the magic dragon" about growing up and putting away those childish things, I cried. I want her to grow up. I want her to become a responcible adult. But I think childhood is too short as it is these days, and I don't want her to prematuraly put away those childish games and toys and imaginations. She is still my little girl. But I am so proud of her.

I don't think this was the wheels on the bus I sang? Although it goes on to sound more like what I sang...
