So I mentioned that I shined my sink. And when my sister-in-law called and asked to crash at our house on their way to mom's, I said sure. Now I couldn't admit just yet that we didn't rush around a little to get things picked up, but atleast I didn't have an hour worth of dishes to do. After we had all eaten, I told them I'd get to the dishes tomarrow after they left. Lorna said "But you have to shine your sink." I've been caught! That's what I get for telling you guys about my goals. She did offer to help--and she did half the work. But we got my sink very close to clean.
And when my friend called the next day and asked if she could come--I said sure. I looked around, and decided to do the girls hair because my livingroom and kitchen were clean. I've slowly been putting in 10-15 minutes a day on my room on top of the basic system, and slowly my house is coming together.
I got on today to see what today's challange was--and it is washing my windows and the fingerprints in the kitchen. I did that yesterday!! I was talking on the phone and didn't want to waste my time--so I did it!! Hence, I have a minute to sit and type to you.
My house isn't perfect. But I am no longer embarrassed--and it has stayed this way for almost a whole week!! Now off to put in my 15 minutes in my room--I think a few more days and I'll have it all in order.

AWESOME JOB!! Happy for you. I need some challenges like this one. Especially on dusting. I really hate dusting. If I don't have to do it I won't. When it gets so bad I can see it I have to make myself dust.
Yay! I need to learn from you, I clean really good but then don't keep up on it and three days later the table is piled high again and there is all sorts of junk hiding in the corners..:)
