I have a friend who puts on a swing dance every Monday night. We love going, but don't feel we can stay out late on a regular basis--plus the babysitter issue. But I decided we should go for our anniversary especially since the dance fell on the exact date.
We weren't sure if we could line up a babysitter--so when the chance came for my friend to take Kaylyn--we took it. Todd took me on my first motorcycle experience on our new scooter. It was fun to run around behind him. It reminded me of a time when we were dating. I was going down to see if there was any feelings for a friend of mine at a neighboring school. I stopped by Todd's on my way out of town--and he took me for my first four wheeler ride. He showed me his parents property. He even made sure to do a few jumps--so I held on tight. I'll admit, the whole weekend away, I thought about Todd. Needless to say, nothing happened with the other guy. I realized there were no feeling on either side. During our engagment, Todd claimed that was his intentions all along, but now he admits it was an accident. I like to think he was purposely chasing me. It makes me feel loved and wanted. I choose to believe he did it intentionally.
We simply ran a few errands. Although we did stop and have bomber icecream and split a hamburger there. It was fun!
Then our babysitter came through and we went dancing. We again took the scooter! It was fun to dance. And this time, I kept up with Todd. He didn't need to ask anyone else to dance while I rested. By the time I had to rest so did he. Also, I have lost enough weight Todd wanted to try a few simple lifts. I felt beautiful. It was so fun.
And to my love, my best friend, my husband, my partner, the father of my children, and my lover: You mean the world to me. I love you. Happy Anniversary.
