My kids say the darndest things

I was talking with Anna Stoker tonight, and we were laughing at things our kids do and say--and I thought I need to go home and write these two down while I remember them.

We have twin cousins--but Karla and Kylee look much more like twins than they do.  We often hear "look at the twins, how cute."  Karla will now say "we aren't twins.  We are 16 inches apart."  She has often heard me tell people that they are in fact 16 months apart.  And Karla was born early and is a smaller child than her younger but just as tall little sister.  But I still think it's cute.  I remember when we first moved here, we would love to go feed the ducks at the pond.  We would buy a whole cart full of bread at the bread store--the stuff they sell for really cheap.  We would always go feed the ducks afterward with a few loafs.  Karla would say "lets go feed the quacks." I thought it was so cute.  I wanted to encourage her to continue to say it that way, but I felt that as a mom I should teach her to call them ducks instead of quacks.  It's so cute, do I have to tell her it's months not inches?

Kaylyn has started walking around the house "mommy my baby hurts. I need a drink of water."  Even today, Grandma Julie was trying to convince her that the baby was in mommy's tummy.  "No baby is in my tummy" she told Grandma Julie.  She also takes really good care of her dollies these days.  I think it's cute.  And I'm sure she'll grow out of it eventually.  I promise: Kaylyn is not having a baby even though she will tell you she is.

I think my kids are so cute!!
