My Man

I thought with Valentines coming up, I'd take the chance to brag on my sweet husband.  I want to brag about those things that usually don't come up in conversation.  I recently reread the advice our sealer gave us when we got married.  He suggested that we don't critize our mate and to remember we have faults to.  To often I have shared some of Todd's short comings--so here is my chance to tell you the amazing things about my amazing man!!

Todd is
1. thoughtful: I have one picture on my cupboard.  It's a crayon drawing of flowers.  He couldn't get me flowers and bring them home in one piece riding his scooter--so he drew me flowers and wrote "I love you!"  I still look at it and feel loved.  He also decided to build a ramp for my mom while Garth was in his wheelchair, just because he could.  He is often very thoughtful.
2. tender.  He is very gentle with me and with our girls.
3. an amazing lover.  I will leave it at that. :)
4. skilled.  I loved that he can put together my bookcase or what ever handy project I have for him.  He keeps me realistic as I try to figure out how we could....whatever my hair brained idea might be.
5. strong.  I love that he can lift my heavy things for me.
6. He really doesn't complain often.
7. Once he puts his mind to something--amazing things happen.  He is very careful and choosy about what he puts his mind too.  But honestly, once he decides it's going to happen, I sit back and watch how things seem to fall into place.  The most recent is my trip to Las Vegas coming up in a week and a half.  My whole family is going down there to see my sister.  Todd decided he'd like to send me.  I didn't think I should.  I was trying to be responsible.  In the end, my brother in law, Jonathan, gave us the last puzzle piece.  He was very generous.  And I am now getting to go.  But I think the reason why is because Todd decided it should happen.
8. Some may disagree, but I still think he very good looking.
9. a good listener.  He will listen as I vent or talk through an idea--most ideas atleast.  And last night, when asking Kylee about her day.  He was good to ask questions until he got the picture.  And he listens as I have a daughter that rambles the way I do.
10. a good cook!  I love that he is a better cook than I.  I never cook on Thanksgiving or Christmas.   He gets tired of cooking everyday, but he can.
11.  He is realistic where I like to have my head in the clouds.  I think we balance each other well.
12. plays well with children.  He has no problem getting on their level and just play.  My favorite sound in the world is the laughter of my children--no one gets them laughing the way Todd does.
13. Kylee's favorite thing about her daddy is that he gives good hugs.  And Todd does.  I love that he is willing to just hold me.
14. It took us a long time to learn to communicate with each other.  But he is now fairly good at it when he wants to be.  I love that he is my best friend, and we are able to talk about everything and nothing.
15. takes life as it comes or easy going.  I love that he can roll with the punches and not get all bent out of shape.  He is able to think on his feet.  He also gives me my way often.  He doesn't care, so I get what I want.  But when he does have an opinion--he doesn't let me run him over either--I love that about him.
16. He really does forgive and forget.  Sometimes his memory can be irritating--but on the flip side of the coin--he really does forgive and forget.  I love that too!  I have learned a lot about being patient with others and forgiving others from him.

He is more amazing than he realizes.  I love him more today than I did 8 years ago when I married him!!   I am honored that he chose to spend his life with me.
