Family Reunion, Kaylyn's blessing

I don't have pictures of Friday. I left my camera at camp, but Lorna took some and said she'd email me--so hopefully soon. But before I forget, I want to blog about it. Friday morning it was raining, so we came into the church house early and had breakfast and changed. We then were able to attend an endowment session as a family. After that, we went back to the church and blessed Kaylyn.
It was fun for me because we had most of Todd's family, Todd's Uncle Brent and John, Grandma and Grandpa Cook. But we also had my mom, Grandma and Grandpa Tingey, my Aunt Jenni and her girls, and a few friends from the ward. So both families had the oppertunity to be apart of it. We then had a wonderful potluck lunch put on by my mom.
During the afternoon, we went to Chuck E Cheese and then on to the sprinkler park at the Park of Dreams. Mom then cooked us a wonderful dinner too. She spoiled us rotten. We played games and headed back to camp.
As for Kaylyn's blessing, she was blessed with
A healthy body
A good heart
Lots of love
To help her family
To bring peace, joy, and happiness to her family
She has a special pupose in this life and it will be revealed to her at the proper time
She chose to come to this family, and this family is blessed because of it.

It was short and sweet. We sang the two new primary songs: The Family is of God and My Eternal Family. Brother Garber was there from the bishopric. He said that, as a bishopric, they don't mind it when these children cry. Their crying is a song to us. And the spirit was there.
A quick note to Kaylyn (I add it here just in case): When we decided that yes the Lord wanted us to have a baby and that we were willing to follow that, I remember how excited you were to join our family. And I was amazed that you would pick us. We have been so blessed to have you as part of our family. And we love you very much--all of us love you very much. I know that great things are ahead for you. And I strive to live worthy so that when that day comes when we are on the otherside--I am worthy of the sealing that binds me as your momma.
